There’s a reason why energy management is such a hot topic: heating and cooling accounts for nearly half of the energy used in most homes.2 And as weather becomes more extreme, comfort demands grow, electric grids are pushed to the limit, and power outages become more common.
Managing energy from its point of generation to its point of use is the key. That’s why we created SmartSave. Because reducing energy usage helps lessen environmental impact while supporting grid resiliency. By participating, you and your neighbors collectively may help reduce utility provider reliance on “peaker” plants. Peaker plants may be used by your utility provider during peak demand and typically emit more pollution to the environment than other power plants.

With just a minimal change to your thermostat set point, your Evolution™ Connex™ System Control or Bryant smart thermostat can make an impact – with SmartSave. SmartSave makes timely, incremental changes to your thermostat settings to reduce energy use, and help you contribute to grid resiliency.
How SmartSave Works
With simple setup and operation through the Bryant SmartHome app, SmartSave responds to periods of peak power usage and automatically makes small, temporary changes to your thermostat settings based on your personalized adjustment parameters.
You’re in Control
Of course, it’s your home, so you are always in control. In most cases, you will receive advance notification of a SmartSave event via the Bryant SmartHome app. You can adjust your thermostat to your desired comfort level at any point from the thermostat or the SmartHome app at the start of or during an event.1

When you have an Evolution Connex System Control or Bryant smart thermostat, joining SmartSave couldn’t be easier. Simply enroll on your smartphone through the SmartHome app. Opting into the program means you are consuming less energy and putting less strain on the grid, all while earning rewards upon enrollment, and continued annual participation.1
