Builders York air\-conditioner lasted just over 15 years. Needed A22 due to a leak. Since the older kind was so expensive, the technician suggested a replacement unit instead. The sales rep explained how the furnace should be up dated now also to save in the long run and also take advantage of the Ameren , Spire, along with the Welsch Co. savings. I was pleased, however, I was surprised that they did not put new filters in the unit, but just left the old ones in place. New Bryant Furnace and AC unit
Had new furnace and AC unit installed 2 weeks ago, so experience is limited, but so far like the operation and the appearance of the units. Although I chose not to purchase the very high end efficiency units , 95% and 20+ SER, I expect to see fuel and electric savings with these new units compared to the 21 year units they replaced. Welch H\&C were not only the low bidder, but also the most patient in answering my questions and helping me finalize my model choices. I believe the Bryant units I selected are at the optimum point on the value \- cost curve for me and thus far am very pleased with the furnace product. Guess I'll have to wait a few months to have an opinion on how the AC unit works.

(2) New A/C and Furnace Installation's
Welsch Heating \& Cooling installers were knowledgeable about the installation process and the Bryant product. This installation took two days to complete due to being a duel heating and cooling system. Welsch has a good reputation in the St. Louis Market and had installed the original Lennox System when the house was built. Only issue was new upstairs thermostat was unable to have electrical power supplied to light the "readout display" and is solely reliant on back\-up batteries. The installers claimed that this probably was due to one of the wires from the furnace to the thermostat being "crimped" by the builder years before. Overall the system installation went smoothly. I cannot rate the actual quality of the Bryant product as it was just installed on September 28 and 29, 2017.
