Our old furnace decided to die just before the coldest weather in years. Royal Oak Heating \& Cooling (and Electrical) came through with a great replacement for our old furnace and was able to install it right away. Such a relief. The technicians were excellent, answering all my questions and making sure I understood the operation of the furnace and accessories (e.g., humidifier, etc.). Everyone I spoke to at Royal Oak Heating was very courteous and professional. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Thank you to all of them.

Very professional

Typically, we get two estimates for work to be done in our home. We like supporting local businesses and a neighbor used Royal Oak Heating and Cooling for her furnace, A/C install who gave the company a good rating. We decided to go with ROHC without getting another quote. Our experience started with our estimator Nathan. He spent a good amount of time looking at our current HVAC. We have a finished basement so our options were limited to two scenarios. He quoted our options which included a credit for our recently purchased preventative maintenance contract as well as a new humidifier at no charge. He also told my husband that he had to carve a large hole in the drywall and install an access door for the blower for the new furnace to pass inspection. When the installers arrived, they were held up by 2.5 hours due to the limited space that was available for the equipment. The lead installer told my husband at one point that the way they were going to put the equipment in would "probably pass inspection". Meanwhile, the other installer was draining the current A/C unit of coolant in our backyard. My husband told the lead installer that "probably" wasn't good enough and he was concerned that our current equipment was being de\-installed. The conversation got a bit heated at this point. Please note the lead installer did apologize. Let me also say that if I were the installer and had arrived at a job where the estimator didn't accurately sell the job, I would be quite upset as well. A Service Manager was called into the job and they figured out a way to install the job adequately. The access door wasn't needed after all for the blower due to the position of the furnace. As to the "free" humidifier..... The installer told us that Nathan had included a unit that had to be drained outside, which wasn't possible with our installation. They put the old humidifier back on the furnace after turning off the water to the house (which we weren't told about in advance). They had to move furniture to do this while my husband was always available during the job. Question is, why didn't they turn the water off at the humidifier? Was the valve broken? If so, did they replace it? Doesn't look like it. A few more items worth mentioning. Although they laid tarps to keep the floor clean we found screws and wire on the basement floor, screws in the driveway, wet cement around the floor and on top of the water heater. Also, the compressor is not level. We are going to address this with the Inspector to see if it matters. They raked the mulch away from the current compressor to de\-install, but didn't put it back around the new one. They also left a wire brush hanging near the furnace. Not sure what that is for. The good news is that the furnace is quieter than the previous one and the install placement in the basement looks nice and still provides some hanging storage like we had with the previous furnace. It would be hard for us to recommend ROHC based on our experience.

Steven did a wonderful job walking us through everything he was going to do before install. From start to finish he was amazing. We purchased evolution furnace \& ac with a new thermostat.

Although a bit disappointed that install was initially pushed back a week by the company\- the competent, clean, and timely installation was well worth the wait. The components not only look good, they somehow physically appear to occupy less space than my previous unit. Installers were very courteous and professional and asked several questions in an effort to ensure the end\-product install was what I was after. Would highly recommend this company as the experience was pain\-free from quote through install.

The installation was a day ahead of schedule and completed in a professional, clean and nonintrusive manner. Very happy with the whole experience.

They came out to inspect and bid the job right away. The install went smoothly and the crew was super friendly. They covered everything with tarps and did a great job cleaning up when they were done.

Outstanding service

Royal Oak H\&C has previously installed 2 Bryant Heating \& Cooling. Units that have performed very well. They service them twice annually and we have experienced few problems. A secondary heat exchanger had to be replaced but was covered by warranty. The Air Purifiers should improve air quality as my wife has experienced difficulty in the past.

It was so good to deal with real people and not endless promps.

Eric and Chris were the two air conditioner installers from RO Heating and Cooling. They arrived early morning and stayed busy the whole day with a drop\-in look from my husband and I every once in awhile. At the end of the day we were walked through what changes were completed. Any questions we asked were always fully and politely answered. Both men wore masks whenever they were inside our home. We were especially pleased by the clean\-up in our basement and outside. We were informed that when warm weather finally arrive a RO Service man would come to do the first start\-up to engage the motor and make sure everything is working properly. We used RO H\&C when we lived in Royal Oak. In 2019 we moved to our Rochester Hills home so of course called on them for our new air conditioner. We prize the good service the company provide us.

We have been using Royal Oak Heating and Cooling for about 42 years\-\-two different houses\-\-two different systems. One a boiler, and the other forced air. They have always been reliable, helpful, and professional. When our furnace died in November, they repaired it free of charge so we would continue to have heat until the new furnace could be installed. The owner personally came out and assessed our needs. I feel we have a top notch system that should last us for years.

A great experience working with Royal Oak Heating and Cooling. We had a very old installation (\>40 yrs old) and we wanted to upgrade before it all stopped working. being proactive gave us the time to shop around, get multiple quotes and Royal Oak Heating and Cooling was our number one choice by a long shot. And the fact they they are certified to install Bryant equipment was our #1 priority in our selection. They were very thorough during the estimate and quoting phase and they worked with us to find adequate and optimal solutions to provide us with better heating and cooling while staying at a reasonable price. Even though we were in no rush to perform the update, they were able to schedule the installation within 2 weeks. The installation process was quick (2 days) and the technicians were very good at explaining every step and giving us a heads up when they were going to work in certain areas. (I was working from home during the whole installation and I did not have any inconvenience.) After installation they reviewed all the new material with us and they went through the regular maintenance procedures and scheduling. It is also great that Royal Oak has a complete record of the product installed so they can pull out the necessary documentation and maintenance procedure within minutes. Finally everyone I interacted with at Royal Oak Heating and Cooling was very nice, and courteous. they answered all my questions in details. Couldn't have hoped for a smoother experience.

Replacing a 35 year old heating system in the main house was a snap for this crew. They all know what jobs they had to do and went about them with the HIGHEST expertise. As for the second furnace in my attached back room, I can't say enough about the workmanship. The job I'm sure was more then a normal. Since RO Heating \& Cooling installed the old units 35 years ago and was the the company that did most of my yearly maintenance, couldn't see not using them.

Installation seemed to go smoothly and according to the agreed upon schedule. My only complaint is there was some debris left from connecting an exhaust line to our chimney.

I own a manufactured home, meaning there are only certain systems available. Royal Oak Cooling and Heating provided information on all the systems and the price after inspecting my home.
