Emergency furnace call
Sunday afternoon \-12 in the winter and I suddenly realize the house seems chilly. Check the thermostat and although set for 70 the room is currently 64. Did some trouble shooting and the furnace starts up but after the startup sequence it shuts down. Called Benner Plumbing \& Heating and requested emergency service.. The tech arrived about 2 hrs later, worked at it for 1.5 hours and decreed it as dying. He was able to install a jumper that wold allow the furnace to start and run on high and stop until the thermostat required more heat. Monday another tech arrived and agreed that it was dying and the present and anticipated future rep;airs were close to replacement cost of the furnace. A few days later they showed up with a new furnace and had it installed and humming in just a few hours. Everyone I dealt with a Benner was professional and polite. I declare the job to be well done.
